Applying your vinyl lettering to a board or sign.
Your sticker, or lettering, consists of 3 layers.
The bottom layer is a paper backing (usually has a grid printed on the back), the middle layer is the vinyl lettering, and the top layer is the sheet of tape which makes applying your letters so easy.

1- Usually there is a 'border' of excess vinyl around the letters. This is to keep the tape from pulling away from the letters while they are shipping or waiting to be used. When you are ready to apply your letters to whatever you are applying the letters to, trim away the excess vinyl from around the edges.
Note: if you ordered your design WITH a border, be sure not to trim your border away.
2- Lay the letters on your board to get proper placement.
3- With a pencil LIGHTLY mark a small line on the end of the letters onto the board. Do this on both ends. This will provide you with guidelines for placing the lettering.
4- With the tape-side up, firmly rub the lettering with your applicator. This will guarantee that the tape and the letters are adhering together for the next step.
5- Turn the letters paperside up. (You cannot see the letters from this side) Now, slowly and gently pull the paper away from the tape and the letters. You want the letters to stick to the tape. Set the paper aside.

6- Pick up the tape with the letters and turn them sticky side down onto the surface of your board. Align the pencil marks for proper placement.
(Be very careful NOT to let the tape fold over on itself. It will stick, stick, stick to itself tighter than tight.)
Tip- Do not to press down anywhere on the sticker until it is where you want it on your board.

7- Starting from the center, gently press the letters onto the board with your fingers just enough to hold everything in place.
8- Firmly rub with your applicator in all directions. Make sure to rub over each letter so that every letter sticks to the board.
9- Slowly remove the tape, leaving the lettering on the board. (Tip - Pull the tape from a low angle, not straight up and the letters will release more readily.)
10- Sometimes they are stubborn! If a letter lifts with the tape, push the tape back down and rub the letter to make it stick.

11- After the tape is removed, gently rub the letters with your fingers to make sure every little corner is laying down properly.
12- Erase the pencil marks, hang your sign and congratulate yourself for being so talented, attractive and smart. Reward yourself with a little chocolate.
